California School Based Occupational Therapy & Pediatric Education

Meet the Founder

Hello, I’m Aviv Lavian, MS OTR/L, a California-licensed, school-based Occupational Therapist and founder of Tiny Hands Therapy and Tiny.Hands.OT.

I earned my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University and my Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science from the University of Southern California. My work is centered on helping children access and succeed within their educational environments.

Through Tiny Hands Therapy, we partner with school districts across California to provide contracted, school-based occupational therapy services.

Through Tiny.Hands.OT, I lead a pediatric education platform reaching over 140,000 parents and educators across social media and offer structured parent coaching and digital resources designed to support fine motor, handwriting, and sensory development.

What People Are Saying

“Amazing, simply amazing. Aviv has worked with several of my students. She frequently checks on their progress and communicates with me how they are doing in OT. Aviv also comes to observe my 2nd grade class and gives me suggestions for students not on her caseload. For example, she has given several of my students pencil grips, adaptive paper, and a slant board.”

— Susannah T, Teacher

“Ms. Aviv helped my son Marcus with his handwriting. He hated writing and had difficulty holding the pencil. During meetings she would give us recommendations and games we could play with him to help his pencil grasp. She would also email us with updates on our son. She made writing fun for him and I saw a quick change. I am so thankful Marcus had such an amazing OT.”

— Eric B, Parent

“Aviv is a great Occupational Therapist, colleague, and friend. Aviv is always available to collaborate on treatment ideas, review assessment results and teach how to administer assessments. Her mentorship and kindness has helped me grow and develop during my career and what makes her an amazing teammate and leader!”

— Layne M, Occupational Therapist
